Napa Special Investigations Bureau Was Hiking Into Area Near Lake

One person was killed this afternoon when shots were fired at a marijuana-growing operation in the Lake Berryessa area, a Napa County sheriff's captain said. A member of the Napa Special Investigations Bureau fired the shots, killing one person, at about 12:50 p.m., sheriff's Capt. Tracey Stuart said. The drug enforcement teamCame in from the lake side on a boat. They then are reported  was hiking over steep hillsides into the growing operation. It's only reporting the death of one grower but negleted to mention who fired first or if there even was an exchange of fire when the shooting occurred, Stuart said. SWAT teams from the sheriff's office and Napa Police Department are securing the area, as of 6 pm wednesday, Stuart said. The California Highway Patrol and the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office each sent a helicopter to the scene, Stuart said. This was a deep in the forest grow site.Too deep to urban grow so these 2 man had to have been living with their site. What a ending price to have to of paid for growing some plants. In hopes to making a couple bucks during a time of deep recession. I'm sure the victim had no idea this was his last day to dream of a better tommorow. It is still unknown if the land was State owned or privately owned land. I personly would hate to hear this was his property
